SR. PATIENT SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE
Performs a variety of specialized analytical, interviewing and administrative work generally performed in the patient accounting section which includes direct patient contact, collecting and posting of personal patient information to include referrals, payment and insurance data.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Considerable ability to deal tactfully, firmly and courteously with patients or third party payers concerning payment of unpaid accounts. Numerical ability required to analyze accounts, interact with patients to establish payment plans, and prepare statistical reports. Ability to present oral/written reports. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Ability t understand HMO and other third party insurance coverage.
College or commercial school graduate with courses in Business English, Business Math and Accounting. Experience of two (2) or more years in credit and collection work, preferably in a healthcare institution, with demonstrated self-motivation.
